Herbert Alexander Jack – I949 – 1950
H.A Jack School was founded on the 2nd of August. Named after patron, Herbert Alexander Jack who’s role in education was in key in establishing a school that would cater for foundation development of learners in the surrounding areas. The School was named after Mr. H.A. Jack who had given outstanding service to education in the Transvaal (Now Gauteng) since his arrival from Scotland in 1903.
H.A Jack primary carries a rich history and has played an important role in the establishment of education since its inception in 1949.
Having started with 144 students when it’s gates opened in 1949, H.A Jack primary has over 800 students enrolled and continues to enrich pupils well beings across all aspects. Bordering on our 70th year anniversary, we look to instill values and principles in our learners that will assist them as they progress in their life journeys.
1949 – 1950
Following Jack’s depature, Mr Asperas was appointed the acting principal.
1950 – 1960
Mr. McMenamin took over the reigns as principal.

Principal : Mr. K.M Thobejane
From April 2008 to March 2009 Ms Msibi and Ms Maluleke acted as principals interchangeably.

Mr W Spence was principal from August 2003 to September 2003

1997 to 1999
Ms Rubin took the reigns as the first female principal
